Is Jesus 2nd coming soon. The NAY sayers

Last modified 2016-01-30 Total: 18 pages 5849 words

In brief, The answer is NO. Certain things have to happen, before the last coming of Jesus, back to earth."

I Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 15:24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 15:25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 15:26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 15:27 For he “has put everything under his feet.”

The above was a quote from the New American Standard Bible (NAS 1995). This is SUCH AN IMPORTANT VERSE that we shall look at it from several different translations. This verse gives the overall sweep of history, it tells us if things are getting better or worse on planet earth, it hints at what age we are in, it hints at the marching orders of the church in THIS AGE, which are different from the marching orders or rules of engagement from the last age, it gives us an approximate gage of how much time is remaining before the Lord comes back, and lastly, it tells us if our side is going to win in the end or not. Now, that's got to be the second most important verse in the whole Bible, after John 3:16, wouldn't you say?

I Corinthians 15:23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, 24 then comes the end, when He delivers up the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. NAS 1977

I Corinthians 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

The above was a quote from the King James Bible (KJV)

I Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 15:23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.

The above was a quote from the New International Version (NIV)

I Corinthians 15:23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.

The above was a quote from the New Living Bible (NLB)

I Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.(1) 15:23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.(2) 15:24 Then the end will come,(3) when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after(5) he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 15:25 For he must reign(4) until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 15:26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 15:27 For he “has put everything under his feet.” NIV

============
(1) We must assume the same scope for "all" here as "in Adam all die". I.E. every human being ever on the planet. "in Christ" here just means "by Christ". per 2 Cor 1:20 "In Christ are all the promies of God, Yea and Amen". God has promised to raise up "all" for a day of Judgment. But this by no means means that all are "in Christ Jesus" in the special sense of being part of His bride. God still makes a difference between the elect and the reprobate.

John 8:24 I said therefore that ye shall die in your sins; for if ye believe not that I am HE, ye shall die in your sins. and John 3:36 He who hath the son, hath the Life, he who hath not the son, hath not the life., but he wrath of God abides on Him.

(2) Those who do not belong to Him will be raised too, but after this, on Judgment day.
(3) What "end" you should be asking yourself. The end of the millennium (not a literal 1000 years). The end of the Kingdom Age that we are in right now. The beginning of Glory where we have the marriage supper of the Lamb, Great White Throne judgment, etc.
(4) If Jesus is reigning, then that age when He is reigning must be the kingdom age. What is a king without His kingdom. That places us in the kingdom right now, for that is the age we are in, now.
(5) "after" He has conquered or destroyed or anulled every government. God is not an anarchist, so this just means "conversion". I.E. "the kingdoms of the world" shall all "have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ" (Revelation 11:15). So we can assume that at the end of the millennium or of the Kingdom age, all governments will have converted to Christ. That matches with the other verses that portray life at the END of the millennium.

Isaiah 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

New Heavens and a New Earth

Isaiah 65:17“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;(a) And the former things(b) will not be remembered or come to mind. 65:18“But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing And her people for gladness. 65:19“I will also rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people; And there will no longer be heard in her The voice of weeping and the sound of crying.(c) 65:20“No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man who does not live out his days;(d) For the youth will die at the age of one hundred And the one who does not reach the age of one hundred Will be thought accursed. 65:21“They will build houses and inhabit them; They will also plant vineyards and eat their fruit. 65:22“They will not build and another inhabit, They will not plant and another eat; For as the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people,(e) And My chosen ones will wear out the work of their hands.(f) 65:23“They will not labor in vain, Or bear children for calamity; For they are the offspring of those blessed by the LORD, And their descendants with them. 65:24“It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer;(g) and while they are still speaking, I will hear. 65:25“The wolf and the lamb will graze together,(h) and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food.(I) They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain,” says the LORD.

(a) That would be the New Covenant in His Blood. New "way of relating" to God. New "firmament" or boundary between God and man, for the old one is about to "melt like wax" per 2 Pet 3:10. 3:11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 3:12 looking for (had to be something that would happen in their lifetime, not 2000 years later, or this is an unrealistic expectation) and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens (rulers over them) will be destroyed by burning, and the elements (elemental things, i.e. the law) will melt with intense heat! 3:13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens (new rulers, i.e. Priest after the order of Melchizadek) and a new earth (new "land", no longer the "land of Israel" but "the church" for Gods chosen people), in which righteousness dwells. Also known as the "New Jerusalem"
(b) The ceremonial Law, the temple, the levitical priesthood, the system of good works required under the Old Testament. Note, these are "not to come to mind". But who is trying to bring them back to mind today? The so-called Jews. And the Judiazers (CUFI) Christians who "love" Israel, and support the temple mount project.
(c) This is not to be individualized. It is for the whole nation. Israel at the time of Isaiah would be "weeping" as a nation when the Babylonian captivity came. But the new "royal priesthood, holy nation" i.e. the church, at the end of the millennium would be characterized by joy, not weeping. Of course there will still be an individual here or there, even at the end of the millennium who will weep. Babys will still fall down and skin their knees and then the sound of weeping will be heard in the church, even at the end of the millennium.

(d) Why do people not "live out their days" now? Well, war in the good ole USA, disease in AMA controlled for profit USA, or in 3rd world countries, famine, then too, by accidents (car, on the job). Evidentally, at the end of the millennium, these will all be wiped out, and accidents will be extremely rare. I believe we have much of this capability right now, but greedy corporations and govts. are keeping it from us. Read up on the RIFE machine, or on how Herbert M Shelton the worlds foremost fasting authority was hounded out of business by the AMA, about herbicides and pesticides and GMO foods and their effects on our bodies, about how the sugar industry bought off the Fed Govt, in the book "sugar blues", as for war, there are a ton of good books on how the Military Industrial Complex has deceived us and manuevered us into one war after another. How our Zionist controlled media and Federal Reserve have contributed to war mania. One wonders what men will die of at the end of the millennium. I guess they will just die in their sleep.

(e) What is the average lifespan of a tree? Off the internet we get: The bristle cone previously mentioned and the Lignum Vitae tree are slow growing and live a very, very long time; thousands of years. On the other hand a Southern Red Cedar is considered a pioneer specie. It colonizes a barren sandy soil and through its decaying leaves, branches and bark, enriches the soil to make it better for more "advanced" trees. So. Red Cedars develop heart rot after growing for a few decades and when a storm comes by they blow over and the plant community succeeds to another. Then you have secondary growth, like long leaf or slash pines (at least here in Florida) These trees can be over a 100 years old and must be at least 100 to form a solid heart of resin impregnated wood called "Lighter pine". A good name. It does depend on the species of tree. Some trees have lifespans of about 20 years or less (like sumacs). Oak trees can live 200 or more years. The life span of a red maple tree is between 100 and 300 years. The average life span of a sugar maple tree is 300 years, although sugar maples can live up to 400 years. Silver maple trees typically live between 100 and 125 years. On the other end of the spectrum, sequoias can live for thousands of years, and bristlecone pines have been known to live to around 5,000 years (or more). The oldest known tree is a spruce in Sweden, over 9,000 years old.

(f) Thats better than your work wearing you out. You want your body to outlast whatever your calling is, so you have some golden years, i.e. a good retirement, (to do church work, of course) not lounge around and rust out.

(g) Thats close communication. A close relationship, which we do not have now, in this early stage of the millennium. Although, I have had some prayers answered within 1 minute, and I realized that in order for the event to happen that answered my prayer, some preparation had to happen days earlier.
(h) evidentially a vegetarian world.
(I) Didn't God say in the Garden of Eden, "on thy belly shall thou crawl, and dust shalt thou eat, all the days of thy life". So, this is nothing new. Why is God saying somehow this will be different at the end of the millennium? It must have a spiritual meaning. Satan is crouching at the door and his desire is for you. Your enemy the devil prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour ... So, I guess this wont be happening towards the end of the millennium.

So, back to the main question. Is Jesus coming back soon.
At our present rate of progress, how long do you think it will be before men "beat their swords into plowshares, and study war no more", Before all the kingdoms of this world will have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ?

Isaiah 2:1 The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.(1) 2:2 Now it will come about that In the last days(2) The mountain of the house of the LORD Will be established as the chief of the mountains,(3) And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it. 2:3 And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,

To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion(1) And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem(1). 2:4 And He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war.(4)

============

(1) i.e. the church. We are the new Jerusalem. For those wanting to take "Judah" literally here, do they think the other 11 tribes are left out of what follows? Does it only apply to the tribe of Judah? No, Judah is the royal tribe, and in the last days all Jews are considered spiritually as Judah-ites, part of the royal tribe. Never-the-less, "the scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the rulers staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes (Jesus comes in 70 AD to end the old covenant, wipe out Judaism, and replace it with the church).
(2) Either Isaiah is talking about the same "last days" Paul spoke of in Hebrews 1:2 "in these last days, He has spoken to us through His son", i.e. the age that ended in 70 AD, or that Peter was thinking of in

Acts 2:14 But Peter, taking his stand with the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: “Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give heed to my words. 2:15 “For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only the third hour of the day; 2:16 but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: 2:17 AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,’ God says, ‘THAT I WILL POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL MANKIND; AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS; 2:18 EVEN ON MY BONDSLAVES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, I WILL IN THOSE DAYS POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT And they shall prophesy. 2:19 AND I WILL GRANT WONDERS IN THE SKY ABOVE AND SIGNS ON THE EARTH BELOW, BLOOD, AND FIRE, AND VAPOR OF SMOKE. 2:20 THE SUN WILL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THE GREAT AND GLORIOUS DAY OF THE LORD SHALL COME.
2:21 AND IT SHALL BE THAT EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.’

which is clearly a reference to pre 70 AD, with the "day of the Lord" happening in 70 AD to Jerusalem, at the hand of Titus. Isaiah could be speaking of those last days, when the "mountain of the house of the Lord" WAS ESTABLISHED. Meaning started out, or got a foothold, but is not in full maturity, i.e. like it will be at the end of the millenium. Note, the kingdom age DID start during the last days. There is this overlap period when the Old Covenant didn't end till 70 AD and the new covenant or kingdom age was inaugerated or established at the start of Jesus ministry. So, if Isaiah means those last days, then the rest of Isaiah chapter 2 starting with "will be raised above the hills ..." pertains to the end of the millennium, Or he is speaking of latter days in general, which could pertain to the mature millennium i.e. at the end.
(3) Micah 4:1
(4) So, back to the main question of this article. How long before we see this happening? Jesus cant come back until that is fulfilled. Jesus cannot hand over the converted and righteous kingdom of this world, to the Father until "after) he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 1 Cor 15:24 How long till you see that happening? Then too, 1 Cor 15 says 15:25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. Lets see what scripture has to say about that.

Hebrews 10:9 then He said, “BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO YOUR WILL.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second. 10:10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 10:11 Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; 10:12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, 10:13 waiting from that time onward UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET.

Note, if Jesus is "waiting", who is doing the work for Him? The church is, with the help of the Holy Spirit. Who is doing the fighting for Him, so that even the "gates of hell shall not prevail against us". The church is. Does that sound like the 501c3 turn all of your land and finances over to the government, and let the government define how you can use your resources, church of today? Is the church militant our church that majors in fellowship dinners, but is way too timid to enter into politics, or raise the replacement theology issue because they are afraid of being called anti-semitic? Now you see how far we have until Jesus comes back.

The church doesn't even have the right marching orders. They think they are in the end times, when the rule was "sermon on the mount", turn the other cheek, resist not him who is evil, instead of Luke 22:36 And He said to them, “But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. The modern church leadership is thinking, since we are in the end times now, getting political is like polishing brass on a sinking ship. But the rule in the last days (pre 70 AD) was dont enter into politics and try to reform Jewish govt or Roman govt because Jesus is coming back soon (70 AD) to smash all your enemies for you. Because Nero is about to declare an empire wide persecution of all Christians, so your efforts to "christianize" for example the city of Corinth government, will evaporate when you all get hauled into the lions den.

Just evangelize till I come. So, how soon until you see all the churches get the right marching orders, and their pastors grow a set of Kahunas and start building the kingdom. Fighting for the Kingdom. Standing up to the so-called Jews, and declaring "no, WE are the real and ONLY people of God". Till the church starts waging economic war on the zionists, like they currently are on us, and they are winning (at least in America. Putin, seems to have turned this around in Russia). Iceland kicked out the international bankers, and prosecuted them, but the land of the free and home of the brave, cannot.

Psalm 110:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until(1) I make thine enemies thy footstool.(2) 110:2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion:(3) rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. 110:3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power,(4) ... 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.(5) 110:5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through(6) kings in the day of his wrath. 110:6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

============
(1) Notice, Jesus is sitting down on the job, again. Thats because He is supposed to. His job was done when He said "It is finished" on the cross. Though for all you literalists out there, he did give Stephen a standing ovation. He did come back for 40 days after His crucifixion and appear to many. He did come back in 70 AD "in the clouds" in vengeance against the Jews. He is not under "time out" and can never leave the chair, but in general, His normal position is to be "seated at the right hand of the Father" now.
(2) And just how does the Father plan on doing that? The Father has the power to do it instantly. Instead He takes a whole millennium where the church gets beat up on, trained, persecuted, fails many a time, led by example by the cults and the zionists as to how to do economic war, etc.
(3) Of course, you should know by now that Zion isnt 1948 Israel, or any so-called-Jews. It's the church.
(4) pretty sad commentary on "thy people" if they arent willing to serve and obey, even when Jesus isn't "in power". But that's our sinful nature. Unfortunately thats most of us, (probably including me) in the 21st century. Although technically, Jesus is "in power" during his Kingdom, he just isn't using much of it yet. Not all Christians have the same steep hill to climb. We have it easy compared to the 1st century Christians who underwent the Great Tribulation. The Christians of 50,000 AD will have it MUCH easier than we do, here in the 21st century.
(5) so we know He is talking about Christ here.
(6) When does He do this? Could be talking about Jesus in 70 AD, "day of His wrath" or it could be talking about doing it thru His church, over time, during the millennium. I lean towards the latter, since Jesus didn't really "judge among the heathen" in 70 AD, nor did he "wound the heads over many countries". If thats true, then the church will have to change her perception of herself. The weak church of today will find it hard to conceive of getting back to praying imprecatory psalms like:

Psalm 58:6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD. 58:7 Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces. 58:8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun. 58:9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath. 58:10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

Lastly, in an effort to answer this question of: Is jesus second (physical) coming soon?

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

I Chronicles 16:15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations; 16:16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; 16:17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel (the church, today) for an everlasting covenant, 16:18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

The above is repeated in Psalm 105:8

Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 20:6 And showing mercy unto thousands (of generations) of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Now, if God has promised to "keepeth covenant" with us for a thousand generations;, to show mercy for a thousand generations; we might want to compute approximately how long that might be. We know that this has to apply to history down here on earth. so if you assume 4000 years of old testament history, and 2000 in the new, have passed so far, How long do we have? First we have to find out how long is a generation?

Psalm 95:7 Today, if you would hear His voice, 95:8 Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, As in the day of Massah in the wilderness, 95:9 “When your fathers tested Me, They tried Me, though they had seen My work. 95:10 “For forty years I loathed that generation, And said they are a people who err in their heart, And they do not know My ways. 95:11“Therefore I swore in My anger, Truly they shall not enter into My rest.” NIV This is quoted again in the New Testament in Hebrews 3:9,10 Numbers 32:13 The Lord’s anger burned against Israel and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until the whole generation of those who had done evil in his sight was gone. NIV

Deuteronomy 2:14 And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them. KJV In 1 Peter 2:9 the KJV errs in translating "genos" as generation. The NAS, ESV, BLB, Holman, Net, Aramaic, ASV, Darby, ERV correctly translate it "race". And it is "people" per the NIV, NLT, BSB, ISV, And genos is translated "family" in Acts 7:13; "race or Kindred" Acts 7:19; Acts 17:28,29 and Rev 22:16 as "offspring".

Thus we see that the KJV has no business translating "genos" as generation here in 1 Peter 2:9. At any rate "generation" even in the KJV sense merely means "generated thing", it does not mean a limited timespan for that would make no sense. Just substitute it in here, "For you are a chosen generation, a holy nation, a royal priesthood" becomes "For you are a chosen Hour, or chosen day, or chosen month, or chosen 40 years a holy nation, a royal priesthood...

So, if you do a little math, thousands is plural, and so it must be a minimum of at least 2 "thousands" take that times a generation in the Bible, which is 40 years, you get 2000 times 40 years 80,000 years of earth history, at least. Thats if God is cheap with His grace, and he is never cheap, so we postmills just round it off at 100,000 years or so.

That is a rough estimate on how long the millennium (not a literal 1000 years)(1) will last. On how long the Kingdom age will last, how long Jesus will be seated at the right hand of the father whilet he church is expected to convert the world until He has abolished all rule, power, and authority. i.e. till "then comes the end, when He delivers up the kingdom to the God and Father" ... until the last coming of Jesus. ===============

(1) Of course Dispys will accuse us of "not taking the length of the millennium literally" in Rev 20 "and will reign with him for a thousand years" and then hypocritically taking it literally here for our calculation. To which we say, OK, go ahead and spiritualize it, dont take it literally. But every time in scripture that 1000 is spiritualized, it comes out being LONGER than a literal 1000. E.G. The Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills, literally means "all the hills".

He doesn't want you going over to Palestine and counting out the tallest 1000 hills you come to, and then assigning the remaining hills to farmer Jones, (hill 1001 belongs to fishbein, hill 1002 belongs to cohen, hill 1003 belongs to maltsburg) or does the devil get all the other hills, by way of contrast, NO, 1000 here means ALL the hills.

Psalm 91:7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. NIV. Does God want you counting how many fall at your side, and when you get to 1000, your should start worrying, because it will come near you? NO, He means "though ALL may fall at your side" it will not come near you.

Whenever we spiritualize 1000 it gets bigger, not smaller. So if the Dispys want to spiritualize 1000s of generations to be more generations, that's fine with us. It gets us even farther away (more realistic) from the Dispy's estimation of when the Lord could come back. Their EVERY YEAR error of "the immanent return of Christ", "this could be the year (1988 = 40 years after Israel became a nation in 1948, or this current year that we are in, right now, or sometime this decade, etc.) that the Lord comes back.

Because the Dispys (that would be your average Baptist Church, Bible church, 7 Day Adventist Church, Non-Denominational Church, Fundamentalist Church, any church that hails to Dallas Theological Seminary)

fail to properly date the writing of the Book of Revelation, fail to properly identify that the "soon coming day of the Lord", "day of wrath", etc. "the time is NEAR (to when it was written), per the book of Rev",

fail to properly identify what age we are in right now (End Times, vs. The Millennium), fail to distinguish between what life on earth will look like at the beginning of the millennium vs. what it will look like at the end of the Millennium), fail to recognize that the old world creation ended in 70 AD,

fail to recognize that the end times ended in 70 AD and meant the End Times of the Jews; For Failure to properly divide the word of truth on ALL THESE THINGS; they continually err on their estimation of when the Lord will come back, and will continue to err, as long as they are using their Dispensational, PreMill model.
